Course details

What the course will cover:

- Generate ideas to develop design concepts for a product or service idea in response to a brief and gain approval to take one of the design concepts forward into production

- Create a production plan for the design concept identified in 1.1, to include:

• Product vision (including an understanding of an associated business plan)
• Planned outputs
• Materials requirements and procurement
• Resources requirements and procurement
• Build schedule
• Testing procedures and methodologies
• Timescales for completion and sign off

- Implement the production plan to create the finished product/service identified.

- Evaluate the success of the production process and the product itself, identifying strengths and areas for further development.

Delivery

The programme will be delivered online. Learners will need the following: 

• Access to a computer 
• Access to Microsoft Teams
• A Microsoft email address is required (eg. Hotmail, outlook, gmail, MSN, Xbox etc)
• Microsoft Office software 

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.

Eligibility for funding:

Greater Manchester 2024/2025 Funding Rules for Applicant Eligibility:

• For learners aged 19+ on or before the 31st August 2024
• Lives in a Greater Manchester postcode region
• Lived in the UK for the last 3 years
• Be either unemployed and employed applicants
• If employed, must earn less than the current ‘low wage threshold’ of £32,200

South Yorkshire 2024/2025 Funding Rules for Applicant Eligibility:

• 24+ on or before the 31st August 2024
• Lives in a South Yorkshire postcode region (Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield or Rotherham)
• Be either unemployed or Employed
• If employed, must earn less than the current ‘low wage threshold’ of £30,476.96
• Must not hold more than one Level 3 or higher qualification

Progression

The course also aims to equip learners to enter a digital apprenticeship or enhance a content role and provide you with knowledge of the technology that's being introduced into the marketing space and how to maximise their company's brand.
